Michael Matthews Studio wins AIA Design Award
Recipient of award for Design Excellence in the Residential Category
Michael Matthews, AIA received a Design Award from the American Institute of Architects, Los Angeles chapter. The award honored his architecture firm, Michael Matthews Studio. His "Barrel Cactus" ADU project, a design for an ADU / Guest house in San Diego, won a 2024 Design Award. The project won in the "Next LA" category for unbuilt or in-progress projects.
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a professional organization for architects in the United States. The AIA offers education, government advocacy, community redevelopment, and public outreach programs, and annually recognizes leaders in the field through its prestigious awards program.
